BarginsI hear people say that they have found great deals at the Super Store, from a Catalog or online, however the price paid is the lack of personal service. What do you do when it is two days before the hunt that you have planned for all year and you need a string, a cam, a rest or a set of arrows? Arizona's archery shops are some of the best in the country and if you have not been in them you are missing out on some great people, some great conversation and an endless resource of archery products and knowledge.
It is all about choicesI am capable of working on my own bow but I feel it was best left to a professional equipped with the tools and the training. About a year ago I decided that I needed to choose one person to work on my bow. At the time I had three or four different people working on it. All of these shops had great things to offer and have dedicated people working in them. I felt it was counterproductive to continue this practice. When I chose the one to work on my bow I took into account what was important to me, Customer service before and after the sale was highest on my list followed by the atmosphere in the shop. Were people friendly, helpful and willing to talk or just listen when the situation called for it? This decision was a hard one because all of the shops I frequent fit those criteria. I chose ZW Archery, my decision came down to those qualities plus location and familiarity with the brand of bow I shoot, Mathews. Whether or not ZW Archery is the best shop is not the question, it is the best shop for me. I still buy things from different shops depending on what they have and what I need. But when it comes to someone tearing down my bow, adjusting it or tuning it up I decided it would be more productive for me to choose one Mechanic. Support the people you depend on and when it comes to bow repairs find the person that best fits your needs, listen to them and give them the time to show you what they can do for you..
