Mexican Wolf Adaptive Management Group to conduct public meetings
 
PINETOP, Ariz. -- The Mexican Wolf Adaptive Management Work Group will conduct four public meetings at sites in New Mexico and Arizona, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 26. The two agenda items are discussion of the five-year review of the Blue Range Mexican Wolf Reintroduction Project and standard operating procedures pertaining to the project.

Each meeting will begin at 6 p.m., and will be conducted in an open house format. The first meeting on Jan. 26 is scheduled for the civic center in Truth or Consequences, N.M., with the Jan. 27 site being at the community center in Glenwood, N.M. A meeting on Jan. 28 will be at the old Alpine School in Alpine, Ariz., while the final meeting, on Jan. 29, is scheduled for The Phoenix Zoo in Phoenix, Ariz.

Public meetings hosted by the management group are part of an ongoing process and commitment by the group to keep the public informed on management actions and decisions pertaining to the Mexican wolf reintroduction project.

Agenda items may be moved, added or deleted, and times changed as necessary to make the most effective and efficient use of time by those present.

Parties interested in receiving the Mexican wolf project’s monthly status report can subscribe to receive the report via e-mail at no cost by logging onto the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s Web site at azgfd.gov and filling out the appropriate information on the “Online Services” page.
