A quick and easy camp or day hunt stew.
An old German recipe of ground hamburger cooked and drained, add 1 can sweet corn nuggets, 1 can baby carrots, 1 can sweet green beans and anything else you prefer with crackers. Heat and season to taste. Takes only a few minutes with minimal cleanup as only one pan or pot is needed. Sticks well to the ribs as my grandmother used to tell me. You have to add your oun love, though.

Not only spices work well with game meat, but peppers do also. Any kind; green, red, habanero, etc..

Once my husband started hunting, I invested in a food dehydrator. Even those friends that turn their nose up at elk and venison steaks, seem to love elk and venison jerky.

No Italian Sausage? Try adding Fennel seed, cracked black pepper, little sugar, even red Chilis. Lisa

I like to make chili with deer hamburger. It doesn't have so
much fat that the chili looks greasy and with all the
seasonings others can never tell that its not beef.

I like using wood chips when I barbecue. This adds
a woody, outdoors flavor fro me. They have different
types you can buy at the store or you can make your
own next time your out hunting.

When I cook game meals for friends I like to use some
wild side dishes that surround that theme. For example
the pinion nuts off the trees where we hunt can be added
to rice, prickly pear fruit( it can also be made into jelly).
I am looking for some more ideas if anyone could help.
