Arizona State Team Returns From Regionals

The Arizona B.A.S.S Federations State Team recently traveled to Green River, Wyoming to compete in the Western Regional Competition. After three days of tournament action on the Flaming Gorge Reservoir, they returned with a sixth place effort. Utah finished on top of the ten-team field, followed by Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, New Mexico, Arizona, Washington, California, Colorado, and Idaho. Each team consisted of twelve members. Representing Arizona were Charlie Crawford, Charles Holland, Ken Landry, Jerry Locke, William McAninich, Don Perry McMurtrie, David Mehalechko, Richard Monell, Terrence Rath, Allen Wacker, Wade Wheat, and Larry Williamson. Top finishers for the Arizona team were Charlie Crawford (4^th), and Don Perry McMurtrie (5^th). Crawford was the leader after day 2, but slipped to a very respectable fourth on the final day. As Arizonas highest finisher Crawford earned the right to compete in the B.A.S.S. Nationals next April. We wish Charlie the best of luck and AZOD will keep you posted on his results.
