Oct. 10 Trout Stockings Planned For Green Valley Lakes The first delivery of trout for the cool season is scheduled for Wednesday, October 10 to Green Valley Lakes Blue River Fish Hatchery will deliver 425 pounds of rainbow trout (1,000 fish) ranging in size from 10-12 inches. For the 13-acre Green Valley lakes, this represents the "season opener" for trout stockings that occur at three-week intervals for seven months (October-May). This gorgeous park is a "must-see" stop through Payson. Enjoy the spectacular fall weather at this delightful park located one- mile west of Hwy 87 on Main Street. This lake is part of the Urban Fishing Program and requires an urban (Class U) fishing license for anglers age 14 and over.
