Mesa Teen Sets New World Record

On a fishing trip to Lake Alamo this past February, John Adams had crappie on his mind. The fourteen-year old Mesa teen, however, didn’t realize that this outing was going to put his name in the record books. John caught a 2lb. 5oz. black crappie that turned out to be a new International Game Fish Association world record in the boys junior division. His catch also qualifies as an IGFA state freshwater record. Congratulations John, that is quite a catch!
