While I was working on our new fishing report deal for Arizona’s fishing business’s I ran across this report on the Saguro Lake Fishing Report Page. I thought all you Smallmouth fans might like to read it.

Dave Weiland Lawman Bass Club :

My Brother and my self were fishing last Thursday AM. When we came across a point and began casting it with a Rico. Slam, the fight was on, we got it up beside the boat and it was barely hooked. I got a hold of the lip but it would not quit, he got loose but we got him back to the boat 2 more times, the 4th time I tried to grab him and he turned his head and was gone. Well needless to say the State Record Smallie is 6.5lbs.This fish was every bit of that. My guess was it weighed 7.5 to8 lbs. There is a state record Small Mouth in Saguro Lake waiting to be had.
