Exotic Newcastle’s Disease Update

Good News!!!!

According to a message received from STAAND, (Sportsmen & Trainers Aligned Against Newcastle Disease) a new Administrative Order has been approved, which will allow bird events (exhibits, shows, auctions, competitions, or other public displays) to resume in non-quarantined AZ counties provided the following conditions are met:

• No birds from a quarantined area are allowed to participate in the event
• The promoter must make participants aware of the conditions of the Administrative Order
• Promoter must give prior notification of an event to the State Veterinarian
• Within 1 Week after such an event, promoters must provide the State Veterinarian with a list of participants as well as signed acknowledgement from each participant that they were in fact in compliance with the current Administrative Order
