My 12A Hunt

My name is Van Clark and I finally got a chance to hunt 12A West side. I made a comment before leaving for the hunt that I would not feel right shooting a deer I happened to see while driving to and from the hunting areas I was going to hunt. Well that turned out to be a tough statement to honor because of the monster deer seen along the burns and sage brush flats along the roads we traveled. But I did not weaken and I shot a deer smaller than what I had been seeing but this deer gave me a real hunt and I had to pack him out on my back in pieces over a seven hour period. I sure hope I get a chance to hunt that area again.

I might add I was very happy to see that the only ATV activity was those retrieving their animals.
