Shredded ‘Beef’ Recipe

Here is a recipe for Shredded Beef, given to me by a good friend, Patty Coolen. Of course I have adapted it a little for my families taste as I suggest you do also. It really brings out the flavor of game meat and is easy to freeze to take on that next hunting trip. Make burritos by putting mixture in a tortilla, we even add beans to ours for a filling meal.

Shredded Beef?

2 lb Roast (Venison, Elk, Beef...)

1/4 tsp. Worstcheshire sauce

1 pkg Taco Seasoning

2 pkgs Brown Gravy Mix

½ cup Cilantro- Snipped

½ tsp Vinegar wine

1/4 cup Catalina Salad Dressing

2 cans Diced Green Chiles

Garlic powder, Salt and Pepper to taste

Put roast in crockpot covered with water and slow cook overnight. Discard all but 2 cups of the juices. Add the rest of the ingredients to the juices and then mix it in with the meat. Slow cook until ready to serve, at least 2 hours.
