This is my first ever bow killed Deer!
I can't tell you how exciting it was. . . . finally!

I shot him around noon on opening day. I was using a Mathews Ultra 2 with
Easton Epic 300's and rocket steelheads 100 gr.

I was about to take a break from hunting hard all morning long, and as I
looked at two does I'd seen all morning, a little spike popped out, I
glasses the field over and over and then put my binoc's away. . . I then saw
two deer running deeper up into the woods from the does. I got my binoc's
back out and glassed some more. I saw a buck, then two, then three.

I quickly dropped everything and fixed my eyes on this buck, I slid left
and kept a bush between me and his head. As I stalked upto him, does and
bucks and fawns began streaming out of the bushes and trotting away from me.
I was focused. I crept to within 50 yards and ranged him, 43. I walked a
little further as he turned and faced the other way, he looked right at me
and then turned his heead away. I put my 30 yard pin on his backbone and
pulled a shot off, he was nanoseconds from leaving when my arrow slipped
quickly through him and into a stump 10 feet behind him. He trotted off 100
yards and expired within seconds.

What a thrill, thanks so much. Coach Stone
