Bow
Length Which bow length is right for you?
This is determined by several factors.
Do you shoot fingers or a release? A finger shooter will find
that bows shorter than 43 inches cause them to be less accurate. This
occurs because the shorter bow length causes a sharper string angle at
the point of release. In
other words the shorter the bow the more the bowstring wraps around your
drawing fingers. This makes
it hard to release the arrow smooth and accurate. Another factor to consider when
choosing bow length is maneuverability. Do you hunt form a tree stand or
in heavy cover? Obviously a
shorter bow is an advantage.
