(RED) Curran A few months ago I was at a 3-D tournament and saw something I found very disturbing, BEER. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a cold one as much as the next person, however, beer doesn’t come out of the case until the bow is in the case. We all are representatives of our sport and should act as such. First and foremost we have to set an example for the youth, our future. Secondly, you never know who is watching. A picture of someone with a bow in one hand and a beer in the other would reinforce the image of the beer guzzling redneck they’re trying to portray to the non-hunting public. Besides the poor image, it’s DANGEROUS! I’ve never seen alcohol at a firearms competition. Archery competitions should be no different. Would you want your children or grandchildren on a range with another shooter who’s been drinking? I certainly hope not. Please give the same consideration to others you want given to yourself and your family. REMEMBER, THE BEER DOESN’T COME OUT OF THE CASE UNTIL THE BOW IS IN THE CASE!
