When is Good "Good Enough"?
Last week I decided to try a new product but in order to do this I needed to retune my rest. While in the archery shop working on it the Shop owner (Curtis) approached me to see what I was doing. The conversation started, ‘When are you going to stop messing with your bow? You are shooting good, when are you going to leave well enough alone? Your bow is fine just the way it is.’ This started me thinking that he might be right. Even though I am trying out a product, I do at times make unnecessary changes and try the latest Gizmo just to see if it will do as the companies claim. So the question is: When is enough, enough? It always seems to be, no matter how good we are shooting, we feel there is an easy way to raise our score ten or even twenty points. Sometimes this is true, but most times it just takes more concentration, commitment and practice. Most of all it takes consistency.
