Installing a Lift Kit

So you want to install a lift kit in that old truck of yours.  Before you do it there are a few things that you need to check.  Worn components like steering linkages, brakes, and u-joints can cause big problems not long after the new lift kit is installed.  A lift kit changes the angle of your steering linkage and drive shafts not to mention extra stress on these components.

Even after you’ve replace any worn parts be cautious about vibrations.  If you notice a new vibration something is probably wrong.   Most off road enthusiasts will also go that little extra and get those bigger tires. Remember larger tires make the vehicle harder to stop. Better do a refit on the break system than pay for it later.  It could get real expensive and it’s always better to be safe than sorry
