The
Poor Boy Air Compressor We heard this one and had to
tell you about it. You don’t have an air
compressor for your dirt buggy? The
big weekend run is coming up and you’re worried about having another double
flat like last time? Remember how mad you wife was because she had to spend the
night in the middle of nowhere? You can’t afford to buy an
air compressor because you have already spent the rent money on that lift kit
she doesn’t know about yet. Well
we got a solution for those of you who are a do it yourselfer. Here is what you’ll need: ·
An old spark
plug (must fit your engine) ·
Dia and Tap
Kit ·
An air hose
fitting with a ¼” thread ·
A regular
air hose long enough to reach all 4 tires. Ok now you’re in business. Remove the ceramic part of the plug and tap it to a 1/4" pipe thread. Using an air hose fitting, (1/4" thread) screw it into the plug. A regular old tire inflator will now hook up to your hollow plug. Remove a plug from the engine, install your new air plug and start the engine. You’ve got air. Actually I’d advise you to wait and buy the air compressor. Arizona Outdoorsman does not recommend using this method of tire inflation and takes no responsibility for damages caused by individuals using this information.
