Fall Camping is the Best

 The calendar tells us that Autumn began more than a week ago. But, desert dwellers know that this is just a cruel joke.  It is however, Autumn in the high country or even the not quite so high country. The leaves are turning and the nights are just a bit airish, hinting of the real cold yet to come. NOW is the perfect time to get out and go camping especially if you have been hibernating all summer. If you need some more motivation we give you the top ten reasons for a fall camping trip. Drum roll please.

10.  The Summer warriors are gone.

9.     The monsoon season is over.

8.        The trout are biting

7.        The mosquitoes are not.

6.         Campfires are allowed

5.        The days are warm.

4.         The nights are cool

3.         Red, orange, yellow and green.

2.        The elk are singing

And the number one reason to go camping in the fall..

1.      The kids will love you for it.

So what are you waiting for?  Shake off  that summer heat. Let’s go camping!
