Instructions:
Tie in the grizzly and brown hackle at the
same time for a neater appearance and easier handling.
As with all other dries, dub in the body sparingly, being careful
not to make the body too bulky. I
like to treat my materials with Water-Shed prior to handling for better
floatability.
Comments: I
use the Parachute Adams almost exclusively over the regular Adams. It is
much easier to see, and it’s low riding body attracts more strikes.
I tie these in sizes 12-20, but predominantly use #16 for a great
all around fly. This is my best producing dry fly to date and have caught
tiny trout in small streams and trout over 20” on lakes. Use larger sizes to use in a dry-dropper rig.
Productive year-round in Arizona anywhere there’s a Callibaetis
or Mayfly hatch.
