Hook: TMC 2457 or Orvis 8891.

Size: # 14.
Thread: dark brown #6 or green #6
Body: Orvis dark brown or Orvis Caddis Green Antron/Hare
Rib: gold thin wire
Bead: 1/8 gold bead

Instructions:

1.      Place 1/8 gold beadhead onto hook. 

2.      Tie in gold ribbing.

3.      Dub Antron/Hare to form body.

4.      Wrap gold ribbing around body 4-5 times and tie down.

5.      Whip-finish and apply head cement.

Comments: 

I have tied these patterns in sizes 10 to 20.  They all work.  #14 is the size most frequently used.  The dark brown is generic in that it can represent nymphs/larvae/pupa of several orders of species. 

The caddis green is more focused because it is the same color as the pupa of Brachycentrus americanus (American Grannom).
