Lets Save Our Wildlife Hello sportspersons, I would like to convey to all of you who enjoy the outdoors & most especially wildlife, that to keep what we have we must all join in & support each other. Whether you into hunting, fishing, camping, bird watching, shooting, archery, a knife enthusiast or just like knowing we still have wildlife out there. We all have one thing in common; we enjoy nature in one way or another. To those of you who do not like hunting you need to know that we need your help also and we welcome you! It is just as important for the non-hunters to support wildlife as it is for everyone else. I am trying to tell you that if we do not control wildlife, non-hunters will have no cause to fight for. There will be no wildlife! I can't say it any plainer than that. After wildlife is gone there will be no reason to save habitat. So then land will be given up & sold to developers. We will all be losers. So you see, we all have something in common. Why are we all squabbling about wildlife? We need to work together in harmony as allies & not enemies. We should support the biologists who work for the many Game & Fish Departments throughout our great country. They are underpaid and under funded yet they continue control the populations & preserve our wildlife heritage. This is the only way we can save the species that have not yet been totally eliminated by man, disease and starvation. I invite any person who doesn't believe in game management or hunting to ask their leaders or organizers (if in fact they do belong to any anti-hunting organizations) if there is any better way to manage wildlife populations. Ask them this please! What would happen to all wildlife if biologists who work endlessly for the Game & Fish Departments did not control populations? Yes nature would take her course, but man has upset the balance and nature can no longer manage wildlife populations on her own. No wildlife at all is what would eventually happen! As I have said before, I have met many, many high school students from around the country who are on a conservation drive & self-supporting their efforts with auctions, cake sales, garage sales etc. I found that most of them did not partake of hunting wildlife but they totally understand how important hunting & conservation is to wildlife. Most interesting is that most of them are of the female gender. They are all much wiser than they’re given credit for. I totally respect them for their intelligence & foresight. These young people totally understand the concept. What is the problem? I invite you to join any local conservation organization in your area. You will learn quite quickly how dedicated these folks are & how much they really care about wildlife. They come from all walks of life & work hard at saving wildlife all year round. If you can't join, at least attend the many banquets available throughout Arizona. They all willingly accept donations in any form. Checks, camping equipment, bows, guns, paintings, tires, wildlife bronzes etc. All donors will receive a donor receipt for the retail value of any item. If you attend a banquet you will enjoy auctions, raffles, door prizes, & many surprises. It is fun & you are helping wildlife at the same time. All the conservation groups are a truly dedicated group of just average people who really care & love wildlife. Try a banquet. You will love it & who knows, you might want to join a local conservation committee. Conservationally yours, Harry Carlson
