Mormon Lake 3D Shoot!

Western Bowhunters Association hosted the Mormon Lake, AZ.
3-D spectacular on June 15-17th. It was a success!
There were 60 targets for the fun and trophy shooters. They
had 40 targets for the money shooters; a long shot, a 10-target smoker, and 10
targets for the little kiddies.
With over $3000 worth of door prizes alone, along with 3
raffles, you had plenty of chances!. Prizes included a John Toner custom knife
(valued at $500+), a pair of Brunton 7x42 binoculars (valued at $500) and an
assortment of hunting items (valued at $300+). The raffle tickets were 1 for $1,
7 for $5, and 30 for $20.
On Saturday they had a buffet breakfast behind the Mormon
Lake lodge (for a reasonable $5). The Steak dinner was had for $7, and a country
band entertained at the town hall.
They held a free fishing tournament for the kids, the AZ
Fish and Game was there to talk and educate, the Tread Lightly Program from the
forest service also shared details on that program and an award winning
taxidermist held seminars on animal care for mounting, and a Hunters Safety
Instructor provided seminars on safety and related items.
