Public Input Sought on Heritage Grant Rules

      The Arizona Game and Fish Department is gathering input on proposed amendments to Article 7 Heritage Grant rules during four public meetings scheduled for July and August.

      The public will have the opportunity to review the proposed rule changes and make comments that will be entered into the official rule record.

      Rule changes are proposed on R12-4-701 Heritage Grant Definitions, R12-4-702 General Provisions, R12-4-703 Review of Proposals, R12-4-705 Public Access Grants, R12-4-706 Environmental Education Grants, R12-4-708 IIPAM Grants, R12-4-709 Grant Applications, R12-4-711 Participant Agreements; and R12-4-712 Reporting and Record Requirements.

      The following meetings are scheduled for public input on the proposed rulemaking:

  • July 21 at noon in the Game and Fish Wildlife Building, Arizona State Fairgrounds, 1826 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix;
  • Aug. 21, 4-5 p.m., Game and Fish Regional Office, 3500 S. Lake Mary Road, Flagstaff;
  • Aug. 23, 4-5 p.m., Game and Fish Regional Office, 555 N. Greasewood Road, Tucson (same date and location as Heritage Grant Workshop);
  • Aug. 28, 4-5 p.m., in the Game and Fish Wildlife Building, Arizona State Fairgrounds, 1826 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix (same date and location as Heritage Grant Workshop).
