Arizona Wildlife Views TV producers win six MCA-I
awards!
Arizona Wildlife Views TV producers Gary
Schafer, David de Medicis, Chuck Emmert and former host, Wes Keyes were
presented six awards at the 2002 Media Communications Association –
International awards banquet in Tempe. Spearheaded by David de Medicis’
Award of Excellence for “I Got One!” the story of the 5th
annual Arizona Game and Fish Department’s Challenged Kids Fishing Clinic
at Tempe Town Lake, the segment also received a Special Achievement
award for audio. Dave was also honored with an Award of Merit
for “The Wildlife Center”, a story about the Department’s
Wildlife Center at Adobe Mountain. Gary Schafer garnered an Award of
Merit and Special Achievement – Videography for “100 Years of
Conservation”, which also received critical acclaim from the
International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. Gary Schafer,
Producer, and Chuck Emmert, Director / Narrator, shared an Award of
Merit for their Public Service Announcement, “2002 Heritage Promos.”
These stories are included in 23 episodes of Arizona Wildlife Views that
will air on ESPN 2, on Saturday mornings at 8:30am, from January 11th
through June 14th. Arizona Wildlife Views TV is
produced by the Arizona Game and Fish Department and airs on PBS and other
stations across Arizona.
